Obituary for Martha Goins (Bostic)
Martha Bostic Goins, was born on October 14, 1924 in Bamberg, SC to the late Izola Brown. From South Carolina, she moved to New York with her family when she was nine years old. She grew up in Harlem NY. Later on in Brooklyn NY she met her second husband and wed Andrew Goins, the love of her life. They retired, and moved to Spartanburg SC to have a fuller share in the ministry. She fell asleep in death on Thursday, March 30th, 2023.
Mama Goins, as she was affectionately called by family and friends will be remembered for the love of her God Jehovah, whom she served faithfully for 62 years until she fell asleep into His secure memory.
Mama Goins was a cosmetologist by trade and loved making others look beautiful. She loved to entertain and share her amazing southern cooking. Martha will always be known as a Mother and Grandmother as she loved taking care of others.
She is survived by her two daughters Yolanda Osborne and Debra Goins, two granddaughters Andrea Osborne and Tiffany Hyde (Andrew); five grandsons, Larry Goins Jr., Joshua Goins, Jason Goins, Micah Goins, Joseph Goins, and a host of spiritual children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Lee Goins, her son Larry Goins Sr. and her sister Mary McNeil.
The Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 22, 2023, 3:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1403 S NC-16 Business, Newton, NC 28658.
